The authors are delighted to introduce this pavement design book to civil engineering students. It focuses on the most recent invention in pavement design, the pavement mechanistic-empirical (ME) design approach. Practical design examples are included in this textbook to help students understand the pavement mechanics and models used in this new approach. Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam-style questions are also included so that this book can be helpful for the FE examination as well.
