Insight Numerics Detect3D v2.28 build 03072018
Detect3D is the most accurate and trusted 3D fire and gas mapping tool for the design and assessment of detector layouts. Using the integrated design environment, line-of-sight flame detectors, and point and open-path gas detectors can be interactively positioned and oriented within any geometry. The user can highlight zero-visibility zones and interactively adjust the position or orientation of the detectors and receive real-time feedback. Detect3D is the ONLY fire and gas mapping tool on the market that can be installed on Windows workstations.
Features:
- Import CAD in Microstation (.dgn), Autodesk AutoCAD® (.dxf), STEP, IGES, OBJ and Stereolithography (.stl) formats.
- Define multiple fire zones and assign hazard categories for each one.
- Export the isovolumes to CAD so they can be loaded back in to your CAD software.
- Output auto-generated reports showing coverage statistics for each fire zone in pdf and MS Excel formats.
Fire:
- All obstructions are accounted for automatically - no need to represent the geometry using simplified primitive shapes such as spheres and cylinders. What is in your CAD file is what will obstruct the detector.
- The obstruction of the detector's field-of-view (FOV) is accurately calculated in full 3D by casting thousands of rays.
- Import flame detectors from our manufacturer's database or create a custom flame detector field-of-view.
Gas:
- Interactively re-position or re-orient detectors and receive immediate feedback for the improved layout.
- Add detectors one at a time or add them in a one or two dimensional array to expidite your design process.Quickly highlight zero-visibility areas within each fire zone using 3D isovolumes and 2D contour plots.
Acoustic:
- Using technologies akin to that used for concert hall design, Insight Numerics is in development of algorithms to quickly assest the acoustic soundscape of process areas to enable engineers to optimally position acoustic gas leak detectors.

Insight Numerics in:Flux v1.0 build 04092018
in:Flux is CFD software that analyses ventilation and gas dispersion within complex geometries. It is aimed at all engineers, including those who have never previously performed a CFD themselves. The speed and simplicity of in:Flux is unrivaled. Organizations can now carry out CFD modeling at a fraction of the time and cost associated with other CFD products.
- The only CFD software specifically designed for dispersion and ventilation analyses, eliminating the need of expertise to ‘tweak’ general purpose codes.
- Interface directly with many CAD formats (DGN, DWG, DXF, IGES, STEP, OBJ, STL), no approximations are made to the CAD geometry.
- All meshing, boundary conditions, and numerical setup is automated.
- Post-processing visuals can be added after calculations have finished rather than hope planes defined prior to the simulation contain relevant information.
- Once the process is understood, multiple simulations can be set up very quickly as simulations are automatically scheduled without the need of scripting.

Sensors & Software EKKO_Project V5 R2 build 7516
EKKO_Project is the all-inclusive software solution for managing, displaying, processing and interpreting GPR data. Once the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) data collection in the field is complete, the next step is to pull out the key information and images and generate a final report. The EKKO_Project software makes complex GPR analysis easy with intuitive tools to organize, edit, process and plot your GPR data. Powerful visualization, analysis and integration tools allow you to quickly and easily produce impressive reports. EKKO_Project consists of a base program with optional modules. The base package provides file organization, quick visualization of your project information in a single window and automated reporting. EKKO_Project works with project .gpz files automatically exported from current GPR systems. An embedded database structure allows all GPR data and ancillary files (GPS, topography, photos, notes, etc.) to be housed in a single .gpz file for a specific project. A project file could contain a single GPR line or several hundred lines from a complex survey. Legacy .dt1 and .hd files can also be imported. Any available project information can easily be added to the .gpz file, providing a single point for all your survey information. |

CTiWare Vespa Wall Designer v2.5.12.6522
Vespa MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) Design Software is different. Created by experts in MSE design, Vespa saves time by automating processes currently done manually, and by integrating the design and drawing process. Compared to existing MSE Design Software options, Vespa increases design efficiency, improves accuracy, and promotes a seamless flow of information between design stages and parties. Vespa allows the user to import grading and layout information directly from CAD using a CAD routine called AWall that is included with the Vespa Software package. The AWall CAD routine allows the designer to lay out the proposed wall right on the CAD grading plan to show accurate plan views of the wall, and then can export the wall geometry to Vespa. Once the wall geometry is imported or manually input, the user can then design walls using ANY user input or Vendor supplied Modular Block/Geogrid combination. Vespa then generates full wall layouts with accurate quantity estimates and comprehensive reports. The Vespa Calculation Engine can simultaneously run Static, Seismic, and ICS Analysis in accordance to NCMA or AASHTO (LRFD) Design Methodologies. Vespa MSE Design Software is built around the understanding that the goal of the Design Engineer is to produce a set of clear, comprehensive construction drawings. That’s why Vespa automatically generates CAD cross sections and elevation views of the walls you’ve just designed. Once the design is complete, Vespa also allows you to export the wall geometry, soil conditions, and loading conditions to select Global Stability software programs. Vespa MSE Design Software helps put all parties on the same page and all the pieces of the design puzzle together. For the MSE Designer, the real time savings you gain using Vespa can pay for itself on the very first project. |

Heat Exchanger Design Handbook, 1983
Hemisphere Publishing, 1983
pdf, 2305 pages, english
ISBN: 3-1841-9080-3
The Heat Exchanger Design Handbook (HEDH) had its origins in the 1970s when, under the chairmanship of Professor Ernst Schlilnder, a group of us began to discuss the possibility of a handbook dealing with all aspects of heat exchanger design and operation including the basic design methodology, the associated heat transfer and fluid flow technology and the physical data required for design. This led to the adoption of a structure consisting of 5 Parts as follows:
- Part 1: Heat exchanger theory and generic application technology
- Part 2: Fluid mechanics and heat transfer
- Part 3: Thermal and hydraulic design of heat exchangers
- Part 4: Mechanical design of heat exchangers
- Part 5: Physical properties
The first (loose-leaf) edition of HEDH was published in 1983 by Hemisphere Publishing Corporation and contained about 1500 pages of new material structured as indicated above; the reception from reviewers and users was very positive and this encouraged the publishers to publish a series of five Supplements of additional material for inclusion in the loose-leaf binders. This process added around 500 pages to the material. In order to achieve a more systematic updating, a quarterly update journal Heat Exchanger Design Update (HEDU) was started in 1983 which carried new material for HEDH. |
