Smokepack - a module for designing smoke control systems. This module aids the construction of smoke ventilation systems according to the polish Building Research Institute guidelines 378/2002 "Designing of smoke control system for escape routes in high and very high buildings". Smokepack is an extended version of FDBES - Ventpack, with its libraries and functions augmented to aid designing smoke control systems.

Heatpack - an application for designing heating systems and technological heating for ventilation. Piping in Heatpack is drawn by tracing out the installation point by point after having selected technology, size (diameter) and elevation settings. Heatpack automatically inserts piping elements such as elbows, reducers, tees and crosses using the default libraries. The program features "open" libraries of pipes and heating media, so that the user may easily specify custom parameters for each technology, which can then be saved to file. Boilers, radiators, pumps etc. are inserted from libraries into the drawing as AutoCAD blocks. Based on the heating power specified for radiators and on the temperatures given for the heating medium in the supply and return pipelines, the program performs flow quantity calculations. As all information is available regarding flow quantity and geometry of the installation, the software performs the required hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing and determines the appropriate adjustments for balancing valves and calculates the authority of regulating valves. Heatpack allows the user to determine drawing scale, default parameters of element libraries, as well as the graphic properties of elements, numbering and information tables. All defined settings are saved in a user profile that can be reused in later projects. Heatpack can also create development views of the entire installation dynamically based on the floor plan view(s). The installation may be represented in full geometry or in schematic view, where piping is shown by single lines. The list of elements as well as the pressure drop report may easily be exported to an MS Excel worksheet or to .txt file for convenient printing.

Coolpack an application for designing chilled water systems and technological heating for ventilation and air conditioning. It can also be used for designing heating systems, since it also includes all libraries of FDBES - Heatpack. Piping in Coolpack is drawn by tracing out the installation point by point after having selected technology, size (diameter) and elevation settings. Coolpack automatically inserts piping elements such as elbows, reducers, tees and crosses using the default libraries. The program features "open" libraries of pipes and cooling / heating media, so that the user may easily specify custom parameters for each technology, which can then be saved to file. Coils, chillers, radiators, pumps etc. are inserted from libraries into the drawing as AutoCAD blocks. It is possible to define cooling / heating power separately for each hour on terminal units (e.g. fancoils). Based on the cooling / heating power specified for terminal units and on the temperatures given for the cooling / heating fluid in the supply and return pipelines, the program performs flow quantity calculations. Ventpack is an application for designing ventilation and air conditioning systems. Ventpack is represented in the AutoCAD window by an additional toolbar and an additional menu bar - FDBES. The application interface is similar to the AutoCAD interface, this is why working in FDBES is easy even for beginner users of AutoCAD.

Due to it's parametric libraries, Ventpack automates the process of drawing installations. Using the Continuous drawing function, the user must only trace the installation axis on the plane view drawing and Ventpack automatically inserts straight ducts and elbows with the required dimensions. Ventpack supports the selection of duct cross sections by automatically calculating air velocity, informing the designer whenever the maximum or minimum conditions are exceeded. It performs pressure loss analysis and generates list of elements for designed installations. The Error report function helps to handle errors and warnings within the project. Ventpack allows the user to determine various parameters of the drawing and ventilation systems at will, including drawing scale, types and default properties of ventilation library elements (ducts, knees, T-pieces, etc.), as well as the graphic parameters of numbering, dimensioning and information tables. All defined settings are saved in a user profile that can be reused in later projects.
