FDBES Coolpack v3.2.2

Coolpack an application for designing chilled water systems and technological heating for ventilation and air conditioning. It can also be used for designing heating systems, since it also includes all libraries of FDBES - Heatpack. Piping in Coolpack is drawn by tracing out the installation point by point after having selected technology, size (diameter) and elevation settings. Coolpack automatically inserts piping elements such as elbows, reducers, tees and crosses using the default libraries. The program features "open" libraries of pipes and cooling / heating media, so that the user may easily specify custom parameters for each technology, which can then be saved to file. Coils, chillers, radiators, pumps etc. are inserted from libraries into the drawing as AutoCAD blocks. It is possible to define cooling / heating power separately for each hour on terminal units (e.g. fancoils). Based on the cooling / heating power specified for terminal units and on the temperatures given for the cooling / heating fluid in the supply and return pipelines, the program performs flow quantity calculations. As all information is available regarding flow quantity and geometry of the installation, the software performs the required hydraulic calculations, determines the appropriate adjustments for balancing valves and calculates the authority of regulating valves. Coolpack allows the user to determine drawing scale, default parameters of element libraries, as well as the graphic properties of elements, numbering and information tables. All defined settings are saved in a user profile that can be reused in later projects. Coolpack can also create development views of the entire installation dynamically based on the floor plan view(s). The installation may be represented in full geometry or in schematic view, where piping is shown by single lines. The list of elements as well as the pressure drop report may easily be export to an MS Excel worksheet or to .txt file for convenient printing.
